Practical Islamic Law: This weekly class aims to empower the seeker with the basic knowledge required to correct one’s spiritual practice. This course is unique in that it is rooted in traditional texts but is articulated in a manner that can easily be understood and applied in a modern context.

The objectives of this course are:

  1. To transfer the comprehensive body of knowledge to the student in a way that can fulfill one’s individual spiritual obligations.
  2. To demonstrate the relevance, practicality and transformative nature of Islamic Law and theology to the student.
  3. To develop a streamlined curriculum that can help the common woman or man acquire this body of knowledge without delving into matters that are not immediately relevant to their context. The aim is to scale this curriculum using online educational platforms.

Advanced Islamic Theology (Kalam): This weekly class aims to go through the traditional Sunni theology from its most elementary primers to its capstone texts. This class has been ongoing since 2018 and has succeeded in empowering students with a comprehensive understanding of Islamic Theology.

Fundamentals of Sufism: This weekly course aims to teach the basic Sufi principles through the Aphorisms of Ibn Ata’ Illah al-Iskandari. Students are encouraged to ask questions and engage with the instructor so that the practicality of seemingly outdated concepts are elucidated.

Arabic for Non-Native Speakers: These private courses are designed to equip students from the West with enough Arabic literacy for them to approach the traditional Azhari curriculum.

Quranic Fluency Course: This course aims to teach students the Prophetic ﷺ mode of Quranic recitation. This course is focused on the practical application of each recitation principle until fluency is achieved. This methodology is in contrast to the common way of teaching Quranic recitation in a more theoretical manner.

Quranic Memorization Course: These are private mentoring sessions in which students receive guidance and motivation to memorize portions of the Quran. Each portion memorized is evaluated by the instructor on a weekly basis. If students successfully complete the memorization of the text, they are awarded an Ijaza from the lead instructor.

Childrens’ Theology Course: This weekly course uses Imam Ghazali’s Ihya as a framework to teach children the fundamentals of Islamic theology.
